| Clean and Green Drive | |
| The Clean & Green Drive - SAKARMA was launched
in Tirupati by GTZ-ASEM in cooperation with the
Tirupati Municipal Council and the local NGOs on the
10 January, 2009 and ended on 16th March 2009 by
making a tremendous impact on Tirupati. This drive
was a part of the comprehensive plan to keep the
city clean by involving stakeholders ranging from the
Tirupati Municipal Corporation, Tirupati Tirumala
Devesthanam - Temple Trust, to the local NGOs and
the community in segregation of waste at the doorto-
door level. The aim of the drive is to spread awareness on door-to-door segregation of waste and emulate the successful model for segregation of waste in the entire city.
