| Regional Workshop on “The Laws, Environment and Sustainable Development”, 25-26 April, 2009 at Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad |
| A Regional workshop on The Laws, Environment and Sustainable Development, a third in its
series (previous workshops held in Bangalore and Chandigarh) was jointly organized by Law
Alliance and GTZ. The technical sessions of the workshop covered topics related to contribution
of law to environmental sustenance, irrigation infrastructure and environmental issues,
management, distribution and access of water resources, population - environment nexus,
emerging technologies and environmental protection, legal issues of sustainable development
and environmental policy and ground realities. The workshop included eminent speaker’s viz.
Honorable Judges of Supreme Court of India, Andhra Pradesh High Court and Delhi High Court
with around100 participants representing mainly the judiciary and law fraternity of India. |
