| Exposure Visit on Dismantling for Informal Sector |
The delegation of 8 members from informal sector were sent for an Exposure Visit and Study Tour on dismantling practices in Europe as a stepping stone towards holistic management of ewaste. The participants are also looking forward to set up a Model Workshop in Delhi as a pilot, showcasing the best practices in electronic waste collection, segregation, disassembling and dismantling by "informal sector".
The exposure visit of the informal sector workers is like a door opener for developing environmental friendly and resource efficient procedure for safe dismantling and reuse and overall proper management structure for e-waste handling. |
