| The work on environmental performance improvement in large scale industries has been started with the selection process of identifying 10 industries willing to invest in interventions related to environment, energy and climate change. 30 potential industries have been shortlisted together with APIIC and 10 industries were finalized for inclusion in the programme. A 1-day kick-off workshop was organized with selected industries with the overall objective of the providing awareness and knowledge to the participating industries on various aspects of achieving environment performance improvement through relevant aspects such as energy reduction, emission reduction, waste management, resource conservation etc. |

This activity is a first step towards a series of activities planned for undertaking energy audits, environmental audits etc. and suggesting measures for implementation for improving the performance of the participating industries. |
