To strengthen the environment management system in the existing 32 Industrial Parks, 6 junior experts were engaged and placed in the APIIC zones to assist in preparing baseline data/ status reports and in coordinating implementation of Eco Industrial Park activities. At the end of the contract with GTZ ASEM, these interns are now contracted by APIIC w.e.f October 15, 2009.

The baseline data and status reports will lead to planning and support to the environmental government authorities for the implementation of eco industrial park approach.
