| Setting up a National Institute - National Environment Protection Training and Research Institute |

GTZ ASEM is assisting MoEF in the transformation process of the existing EPTRI, Hyderabad to National Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (NEPTRI).
NEPTRI is envisioned to assume national level stature by upgrading it from its current status with focused strategy catering to the environmental needs of India in the identified fields making it highly competent and competitive with retention of qualified staff and upgrading infrastructural facilities including laboratories, training facilities, office working spaces etc. NEPTRI is foreseen to be a leading environmental institution in India spearheading capacity building and offering professional services and research for enabling breakthroughs in skills, knowledge, awareness and information for realizing sustainable development by mainstreaming environmental concerns in all developmental activities. As requested by MoEF, a Technical Cell of GTZ ASEM is proposed to be set up at NEPTRI. |
