I am happy to know that Advisory Services in Environmental Management (ASEM) is launching the first issue of the E-Newsletter of ASEM.
ASEM, a joint programme of the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), renders its efforts to improve technical and institutional performance towards environmental management through project interventions for sustainable urban and industrial development and consumer awareness and protection which are well appreciated.
Dissemination of ideas, techniques, procedures and practices form an important goal of this technical assistance project. I hope that the "ASEM Newsletter" is successful in contributing towards institutional capacity building, dissemination of environmentally sound ideas and improving programme visibility. I hope that it also works as an interactive information platform which offers relevant practical information on environmental management and for exchanging experiences with stakeholders and partner organizations.
On behalf of Ministry of Environment & Forests and on my personal behalf, I send my good wishes for the success of this E-Newsletter and the ASEM Programme as a whole.
