| The workshop on 'Capacity Building in Clean Development Mechanism', 5-6 March 2009 at Jammu was organized by GTZ and State Forest Research Institute (SFRI). The workshop imparted knowledge and potentials related to CDM in the sectors like Energy, Municipal Solid Waste and Forestry and strengthened capacity of the State in making viable CDM projects for procuring carbon emission reduction (CER) under Kyoto Protocol. The workshop resulted in formulation of a CDM operational plan with State Forest Research Institute (SFRI), J&K which includes development of two Programme of Activities (PoA) Project Idea Notes (PINs), planning of one workshop for policymakers and technical people in J&K and two Small Scale (SSC) CDM project PINs. |
