Before joining ASEM as Director, Dr. Bischoff was the
Director of the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer
of Technology (APCTT), a United Nations Organization.
Prior to his appointment as the Director of APCTT, Dr.
Bischoff was a Senior Adviser in Science and Technology
and Director of Projects for the German Agency for Technical
Cooperation - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische
Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH.
Dr. Bischoff has also held responsible positions with
private sector companies and universities both in Europe
and South America and has served as a consultant to
several companies and government institutions.
Dr. Bischoff has over 25 years experience in research
and development and also in science and technology management
in both developed and developing countries. He has distinguished
himself in both the academic and engineering fields.
